Solar Tables#

Also known as “solartisch”

Concept#

Developed for situations where it wasn’t possible to install balcony solar, solar tables are simply solar panels built into the form of a table. The solar table can then be placed on the balcony and can have a dual role, therefore avoiding any local rules or regulations.

Often a sturdy framed solar panel is choosen and legs are bolted onto the 4 corners, in more advanced options a frame might be built around the panel and then hinges added to one side to allow one side of the panel to be tilted up to improve the angle when the table isn’t being used. It is recommended to use a tablecloth when using it as a table to avoid damaging the panel surface. Also care should be taken in regards to routing the cable to avoid it being a trip hazard.
